The original Ohio Adolescent Health Partnership Strategic Plan was created in 2013 to guide policy and practice in Ohio. That plan focused on five primary health areas, shown above with links below. In 2014, an Operational Plan was developed to flesh out the objectives within the strategic plan. In addition to and superseding the objectives related to each of the five focus areas, the OAHP identified two cross-cutting objectives:
Cross-Cutting Objective 1: Increase adolescent assets and resilience skills to reduce the impact of negative external factors.
Cross-Cutting Objective 2: Incorporate best available research into the design of all adolescent health interventions, programs, and policies.
The original five focus areas of the OAHP:
Area 1. Behavioral Health (Mental Health & Substance Abuse)
Area 2. Injury, Violence and Safety
Area 3. Reproductive Health
Area 4. Nutrition & Physical Activity
Area 5. Sleep
Both the original Strategic Plan and the follow-up Operation Plan can be downloaded via the links below.
In 2023, an updated Strategic Plan was released with a focus on three-year goals to revitalize the partnership.
